THE POSITION
Pophouse is seeking a Branding Designer with creative and technical experience to join our team. This team member is passionate about design, accuracy and always looking to push their skills to the next level. They are a highly motivated problem solver and can manage a diverse project load while working alongside internal and external teams. This person has expertise in both branding and social media with a deep understanding of the necessary steps and process for successful project completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Current on design trends and new developments in digital and print subjects to produce fresh brand experiences
- Collaborate with leadership and fellow designers to develop client presentation standards, RFP’s, business development collateral and other organizational presentations for external use
- Digital asset management of brand visuals and all collateral
- Responsible for the creation of leadership and business development presentation and collateral
- Develop production ready design files and facilitate a variety of vendors from web to apparel to bring our brand to life
- Collaboration with internal teams to ensure holistic storytelling for brand look and feel
- Collaborate with production team to create new engaging social media content
- Grow and maintain overarching Pophouse brand identity
- Coordinate and execute photoshoots at the direction of the Creative Director
- Present and communicate design solutions with clarity and purpose developing narratives that align with brand goals
- Manage and schedule content for all social media channels coordinating with Pophouse leadership for approvals (including responding to inquiries through social platforms)
- Accountable to Creative Director
- Act as gate keeper of brand visual identity by educating and encouraging adherence to the guidelines across the company
- Create advertisements, promotional, public relations materials, and visuals such as award submissions, email blast, etc.
- Collaborate with fellow designers to push and evolve the Pophouse brand
- Create icons, charts, and infographics that effectively communicate key messages
- Work with leadership to develop innovative design solutions that are reflective of brand goals and culture
- Create unique brand takeaways, collateral, and client gifts
SKILLS
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines and develop next steps individually and within project teams
- Demonstrates high level of creativity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel periodically
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Knowledge of print and digital graphic design techniques, tools, and principles
- Punctual, professional, and reliable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of print processes
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work both individually and alongside a team
- Knowledge of industry trends and standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from an accredited college or university
- Advanced proficiency in social media platforms
- 3 years of professional experience in Graphic Design required
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

Located in Detroit, Michigan, we work on both commercial and residential projects with a specialty in workplace, hospitality, and retail as well as home office design. Our team of designers and strategists work to positively impact people through interior, industrial, and environmental graphic design.
Leveraging industry research and business intelligence, we begin every project with a meaningful strategy that informs our design narrative. The design narrative is then carried through every aspect of the project including finishes, space plans, custom furniture, branding, wayfinding, signage, and artwork to transform the space into one that highlights culture, increases productivity, and optimizes business outcomes.
