Job Description
Wolfjaw Studios is an engineering-focused video game studio based in Troy, NY founded by a passionate team of developers with decades of experience. Our team has been trusted to build the systems that power some of the most popular modern multiplayer games. In turn, this has enabled publishers to better engage their player base, help drive esports to the forefront of media, and further improve core game services to provide a better player experience. We work closely with studios and publishers to establish trusting relationships in order for us to deliver products and services that are unique to each of their needs.


The Brand and Community Manager will play a crucial role in establishing a strong brand presence and fostering meaningful relationships within the industry and the community. You will contribute to the company's growth by creating engaging content, managing brand identity, and building a loyal and enthusiastic community of supporters.


  • This is a hybrid working position; you will ideally be able to come on-site a few days a week and participate in local events.*


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our partners and customers and their publicity and community teams to cross-promote their events, titles, and milestones.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone, and visual identity across all channels, including social media, website, marketing materials, and more.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and nurture a vibrant and loyal community of customers, fans, and advocates both online and offline.
  • Identify and establish partnerships with influencers, organizations, and individuals that align with our values and objectives.
  • Manage and grow the company's presence on social media platforms, including creating, scheduling, and publishing posts.
  • Implement crisis communication strategies if and when necessary to mitigate potential reputation risks.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations:
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for brand differentiation and innovation.
  • Content Creation and Management:
  • Improve and implement the existing brand strategy to align with the company's mission, values, and target audience.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development and Recruiting teams to develop content calendars and ensure timely delivery of content across various platforms.
  • Organize and promote community events, workshops, webinars, and other activities to foster interaction and engagement.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Address community concerns, feedback, and inquiries while maintaining a positive and constructive tone.
  • Leverage social media analytics to track engagement, reach, and sentiment, and use insights to refine strategies.
  • Create engaging and relevant content that resonates with the target audience, including social media updates, videos, graphics, and more.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and refine branding and community strategies.

  • Maintain a content library and organize digital assets for easy access and utilization.
  • Regularly analyze and report on key performance metrics related to brand awareness, engagement, and community growth.
  • Monitor online mentions, reviews, and discussions related to the brand and promptly address any negative sentiment or misinformation.


Qualifications:


  • Proficiency with content creation and editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and social media scheduling tools such as Sprout;
  • Experience in brand management, community engagement, or social media management for a company with a similar business structure is a plus: We are not a studio that publishes games—we provide a service to game publishers.
  • A history of delivery on projects & goals in a timely manner and to quality standards;
  • Passion for and understanding of the gaming industry and gaming culture;
  • Educational background in marketing, communications, journalism, PR, or related field preferred;Proven experience in brand management, community engagement, social media management, or a related role (having a portfolio or case study is a plus);
