Job Description
DASKK Hotels and Resorts is looking for the right candidate. This candidate must be ready to be part of something special. This 249 room hotel is going through a multi-million dollar renovation to become a boutique hotel that remembers that all customers are part of our family and puts their needs as a priority. As a growing hospitality company, we are looking for an experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the local business unit. General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and ensuring policies are followed. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive while ensuring our clients are treated like they are part of ours and your family.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management
  • Direct the employee assessment process
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth
  • To be a Change Agent that is focused on ensuring all employees prioritize the guest over everything else
  • Oversee day-to-day operations
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
  • Manage policies and processes
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, etc.)
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical ability
Educations and Experience:
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products
  • Hotel General Manager experience required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirement:
Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, kneeling, or crouching.
