Job Description
Neal R. Gross and Co., headquartered in Washington, DC, is expanding its team. We are a leading Court Reporting and Transcription services company serving clients Nationwide. We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.


Location: This is a hybrid role and will require going into the downtown Washington DC office about 3 days a week


At NRGCo, You Will


Manage the company's financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.


Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data by recording daily transactions and reconciling bank statements.


Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner.


Prepare and submit financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, as required.


Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.


Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information and resolve any discrepancies.


Support the HR Manager by assisting with payroll processing and employee benefit administration, as needed.


Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.


What We Look For


Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or equivalent role.


Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.


Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.


Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.


Strong organizational and time management skills.


Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.


Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.


Experience with Quickbooks and Peachtree


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge of tax regulations and filing requirements.


Familiarity with court reporting or legal services industry.
