Job Description
We are a real estate development and management company. We provide services in all facets of real estate, whether it be development projects, wholesaling, property management, commercial and residential rentals, and fix and flips we aim to serve our community and contribute to its continued growth. We are looking for a skilled Executive Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player and will be able to self-manage tasks in a timely manner. A successful applicant will be one who prides themselves on working with a high degree of accuracy, has integrity, is naturally intellectually curious, and is not afraid to be a leader.
This position is full-time in the office. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Job Duties Include
  • Keep accurate records of properties
  • Develop, implement, and maintain chart of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
  • Perform accurate and timely Bank Reconciliations.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, accounting, client billing, collections
  • Keep physical and digital financial records up-to-date and organized in a file system
  • Full life-cycle accounting - Receive, review, and accurately record all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Enter vendor invoices for all of property management on a weekly basis
  • Take deposits to the bank as needed
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow analysis
  • Keep owner-held and tenant-held insurance for each unit up-to-date and filed and complete reconciliations to identify lapses in insurance
  • Prepares tax returns for S-corporations, C-corporations, Partnerships, Single Member LLCs, Non-Profits, Trusts, and Individuals
  • Enter all HUDs into Quickbooks
  • Advise management on short-term and long-term Accounting objectives, policies, and actions.
  • Open, review, and distribute office mail
  • Coordinate and assist other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
  • Develop, maintain, and prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Manage Investor Funds and ensure that funds are maintained on a specific timeline and that all promissory notes are kept on file
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology, QuickBooks Online.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.

Qualifications
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • 3+ Years Experience In Bookkeeping or Accounting
  • Quickbook proficiency is mandatory at an advanced level with both Desktop and Online
