Job Description
Job Summary:
Come be a part of a fun and growing business! The Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant is responsible for the data-entry accounting and administrative functions of our electronic systems integration company. You will work with our outside accounting team and use our industry software, called iPoint, to sync with our QuickBooks accounting software. No direct supervision of employees is required - but you will work with our office purchasing and sales teams to enter invoices, purchase orders, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Other applicable duties, as assigned
  • Work with our outside accounting firm to ensure that the company books are kept in order and obligations are paid
  • Perform follow-up calls for slow or late-paying customers
  • Perform general administrative duties including copies, filing, and scanning
  • Use QuickBooks Enterprise (desktop) software to input and reconcile payable invoices and vendor statements
  • Prepare weekly finance reports for VP and President
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email
  • Data entry of invoices and other accounting information for payment or collection
  • Process finance applications
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Possesses a pleasant and professional demeanor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
  • Clear attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Adaptable to change and meets varied deadlines
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office, with the ability to adapt to new software or internet-based programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Requires adherence to a set schedule

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • May occasionally lift objects under 25 pounds
  • Requires performance of repetitive tasks
