Duties

• Provide technical engineering support and consultative services during the process to acquire,maintain, and support deployable and deployed medical equipment standardized through the operational medicine program.
• Evaluate contractor proposals for technical compliance with requirement Essential Characteristic's (ECs) by analyzing products and specifications in comparison with ECs.
• Provide biomedical engineering and medical maintenance expertise to technical evaluation and acceptance teams formed to assist the DOD medical and DOD contracting offices in procuring medical equipment.
• Use a comprehensive understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and methods employed by different government contracting agencies to assist in developing appropriate acquisition, strategies for sophisticated medical equipment systems.
• Evaluate suggestions related to the modification of medical equipment and systems.

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This DAW position requires the incumbent to be Level II certified at time of assignment or able to acquire Level II certification within 24 months of assignment.
