Position summary

T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Engineers, Software is located in Frisco, TX will assist with information technology solutions by analyzing systems requirements, existing business processes, and information systems.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work on IT development team to deliver technical solutions for business requirements.
• Store, retrieve, and manipulate data to analyze system capabilities and requirements.
• Work with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and evaluate project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt software to new platforms, and improve software performance.
• Code, test, debug, and document software applications.
• Design, develop, and modify software systems to predict and measure design outcomes and consequences.
• Research, design, and develop computer and software programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Skill requirements:

Must have some professional experience in each of the following:

• Performing unit, system, and performance testing utilizing Postman, Soap UI, JUnit, and JMeter.
• Translating business and functional requirements into technical use cases through JIRA.
• Designing and building software solutions utilizing cloud-based Java micro services, Spring Boot, Rest, Oracle, Cassandra, Splunk, and App Dynamics.
• Working with continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies within Agile Scum framework using Bit Bucket, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, and Docker Compose.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Technology, Software Engineering or related and 1 year of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Software Engineering or related and 3 years of relevant work experience.

Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
