United Health Services is seeking a Bio Medical Equipment Technician 1 to join our Biomedical Engineering Team in Johnson City, NY. The Bio Medical Equipment Technician is an entry level position responsible for performing installation, calibration, and corrective maintenance on a variety of medical equipment. This is a BENEFITS-ELIGIBLE position.

Bio Medical Equipment Technician 1 Overview

The Bio Medical Equipment Technician 1 (BMET 1) is an entry-level technician position responsible for performing installation, calibration, preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of medical equipment. The BMET 1 will develop QA standards, perform repairs in an efficient cost-effective manner, and keep department heads and staff abreast of the situation. Acts as a technical resource for all departments for which the Technician is responsible.

UHS Wilson Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center and the region’s designated stroke and chest pain center, operates a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department. Our Emergency Department team serves patients who often arrive by ambulance or helicopter after critical accidents. Comprising nurses, physicians, allied health professionals, support staff, and more, our team at UHS Wilson is dedicated to exceptional patient care.
