Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's big data infrastructure. You will be responsible for deploying and configuring Hadoop, Spark, and related technologies, monitoring system performance, implementing security measures, and resolving technical issues. Your expertise will ensure efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval, while safeguarding data integrity and accessibility.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain data availability.
• Implement security measures to protect data and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on system status and potential risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical support.
• Monitor system performance and optimize data processing, storage, and retrieval.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain the organization's big data infrastructure (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting of big data systems.
• Strong understanding of data security principles and implementation.
• Familiarity with cloud-based big data platforms is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and related tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and monitoring.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proven experience as a Big Data Administrator managing large-scale environments.
