The Senior Care Advocate will be responsible for utilization review and care management of behavioral health and substance abuse services. Includes authorization, concurrent review, coordination and assurance of appropriate levels of care to members. Provides care management services through review and evaluation of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health treatments for medical necessity, emergency status, and quality of care.
*** Candidate must be available to work Saturday and Sunday from 6 am – 4:30 pm or 7 am – 5:30 pm PST ***

Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- 2+ years of behavioral health clinical experience in an inpatient/acute or outpatient setting
- Ability to obtain a clinical license for the state of Nevada upon hire
- Current independent, unrestricted license to practice LCSW, LMFT, CPC, LPCC or an Registered Nurse
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Level of Care Guidelines (i.e., Milliman, Interqual, etc.)
- Utilization review experience in an insurance company or managed care setting
- Experience in discharge planning and/or chart review
- Knowledge of American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria
