VACANCY NOTICE

TITLE: Behavior Specialist

LOCATION: BOCES Wide

REPORTS: Director of Special Education

TERMS: 10 month plus 14 days; Full-time

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree and NYS Certification in one of the following areas: any
Special Education area, School Psychologist, Social Worker or a Related Field.

At least 3 years of experience in analysis of behaviors and development
and/or implementation of behavioral supports

RESPONSIBILITIES/
DUTIES:

Selected candidate will provide assistance and support to special education
classrooms to increase student engagement and decrease drop-out and
suspension rates for students with disabilities through the following activities:

Provide crisis intervention to students in need of support

Work as a member of the Student Support Team to assist teachers in
developing interventions

Collaborate with staff, families, component districts and outside
agencies

SALARY/BENEFITS: Starting salary $63,000 – 90,500 per year; generous benefits and leave
package based on BOCES Administrator’s Association (BAA).
