EL1 is the proud youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball.


JOB SUMMARY

The Program Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and delivering the highest quality baseball and softball training program for youth athletes and teams within the assigned facilities and surrounding area. The Program Manager manages the instructing staff and will work with the Regional Manager to ensure EL1 enhances the experience of all involved by embracing the mission and culture of EL1 programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and create new training programs within the assigned territory including all league/travel/club/Powered By Programs both in facility and mobile.
  • Establish, build, grow & maintain relationships with leaders, individuals, and businesses within the local community to grow the program and sell Powered By/Training programs for teams/groups and individuals.
  • Manage the yearly budget for the program’s registrations, marketing, equipment, and any other purchases. Provide monthly budget updates to Leadership Team.
  • Act as the primary stakeholder and subject matter expert of baseball & softball operations for the assigned facility.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of EL1's Instruction & Training Programs at facility, mobile locations, and fields.
  • Protect, build, grow and manage all EL1 brands, programs, and partner organizations by understanding and abiding by EL1 policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and guidelines.
  • Duties include but are not limited to player check-in, group rotations, time slot turnover, station set up/clean up with instructing staff and curriculum, and equipment setup/clean up.
  • Manage/maintain Program, Staff, and Facility schedule including facility training programs, Powered-By training, mobile league development fall/spring, camps, mobile training, clinics, etc.
  • Provide administrative support to Powered By Teams in accordance with company SOP. Duties include but are not limited to creating a tryout schedule, creating station rotations, setup jersey/hat sizing station, sending roster invites, managing the jersey/hat ordering process, creating equipment orders for team coaches/assistant coaches, organizing Orientation Week/Back to Academy event to meet Team, etc.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage staff hours, maintain instructor-to-player ratio on turf, ensures timeliness of schedule release to staff, and stay under payroll budget.
  • Involved in recruiting and hiring of department staff and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Manages and oversees the daily operation of the department and staff.

  • Experience playing as a collegiate athlete
  • Supportive and encouraging mindset and attitude
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
