General Summary

Under general supervision of a Manager or designee and following the established policies, procedures and professional guidelines, the Bariatric Psychologist diagnoses and evaluates mental and emotional disorders of individuals referred by providers. Administers programs of treatment, interview and observes patients and selects, administers, and interprets intelligence, achievement, interest, personality, neuro-psychological and other tests to diagnose and to formulate treatment plans. Also responsible for the treatment of psychological disorders and serves as consultant and participates in research endeavors. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

Doctorate degree in Psychology from an APA approved program in accredited degree granting college or university. Licensure by the State of Florida as a Psychologist. Experience in College Health Center or Outpatient setting preferred.
