Bariatric Clinical Dietitian I ($5,000 Sign-On Incentive - For Hires New To Ui)

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Food & Nutrition is seeking a Bariatric Clinical Dietitian I to use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition counseling for patients in program areas as assigned.

Limited Time Incentive Available: selected candidate is eligible for a one time sign-on incentive of $5,000. Current UI employees are not eligible.

• Teach and precept Master of Clinical Nutrition students
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and develops nutritional components of care
• Use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for adult outpatients in the bariatric center at UIHC
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient’s status according to age

Salary: $45,622 - $80,000

Required Qualifications

• Must demonstrate experience working effectively in a diverse environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Certifications

• Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required
• Licensure by the State of Iowa is required
