Position Overview
Our Banquet Houseperson are the banquet arrangers of our hotel! Entrusted with the setup and breakdown of conference and banquets space, management of conference inventory, and support with routine audio/visual equipment. Though skillfully trained, they never lose sight of their ultimate reasonability, to create lifelong memories for our guests.

As a Banquets House Person at The Beverly Hills Hotel, your compensation will be $18.00 per hour.
What you'll do
A day in the life of our Banquet Houseperson … it demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the tasks that our Banquet Houseperson accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.
- Our Banquet Houseperson are responsible for completing a variety of banquet functions, such as setting up tables, chairs,equipment, assisting servers, and answering to inquiries from banquet patrons. The Banquet Houseman may also be required to assist other departments on an as-needed basis during their day. This will include setting up rooms and function areas with designated tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, flipcharts, easels, blackboards, and other equipment as specified by group requirements and in accordance with departmental standard all to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
- Sometimes our guests have special requests involving maintaining the banquet room clean and organized and setting up the banquet room as per guest request all to ensure their satisfaction. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Banquet Houseperson .
- Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Banquet Houseperson are relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct.
- Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Banquet Houseperson must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains.
The items shared are essential. However, to ensure consistency, our Banquet Houseperson are provided with specifics on how we care for their department and our hotel.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate
