Job Description

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As an AWS Engineer, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. On our team of experienced professionals, you’ll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We’re looking for someone like you to help support national security.

You’ll closely collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You’ll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal AWS labs, you’ll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our client's problems, and you’ll partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you’ll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

Grow your skills at the leading edge of innovation.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • Experience in working with microservices and containerization, including orchestration, cluster management, and container storage, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher
  • Experience with writing scripts and glue to tie together services, functionalities, and tools using technologies, including Python scripting, Bash, Boto3, PowerShell, or YML and JSON templates
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Secret clearance
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • 2+ years of experience with designing, developing, deploying, or testing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and using tools, including EC2, S3, ELBs, RDS, VPCs, security groups, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or IAM permissions
  • Experience with deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux server systems in the Cloud
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with an Agile release methodology
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer Certification
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
  • Experience with developing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with application management and providing high availability and resilient solutions using methods, including clustering or failover
  • Experience with Serverless, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SAM
  • Experience with securing and hardening operating systems, applications, and containers
  • Experience with Cloud Architecture

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
