DevOps Engineer – Earth Observation - $140,000-$160,000 - Fully Remote


EVONA are currently working with an exciting Earth Observation company who are using Earth Observation for climate change and food security. They are currently looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to shape the architecture and infrastructure that will be part of the data pipeline to turn raw data into imagery.


Requirements:


  • Development teams
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive execution
  • Experience supporting CI/CD (Github and Gitlab) and establishing best practices with
  • Python experience
  • Knowledge of cloud security standards and best practices
  • Environments
  • Strong first principles thinking and decision making
  • Technical background in DevOps, SRE, or software engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on DevOps experience supporting data science or large-scale
  • Experience deploying containerized processing at scale within the commercial cloud
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Lambda, VPC, etc.
  • Extensive experience with core AWS services – EC2, S3, Batch, Step Functions, IAM, ECS,
  • Data processing applications
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, particularly test and delivery

Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience with GeoSpatial software
  • Astronomy, medical imaging, or another field.
  • Experience successfully applying DevSecOps practices
  • Experience supporting large scale image processing applications in earth observation,
