What will you be doing?

• Ensure data integrity is regularly validated.
• Utilize the rich sources of Customer, Transactional and Geospatial data to develop flexible rule based profiling models to monitor and detect on-going Financial Crime red flags.
• Perform multifaceted data investigations across multiple data sources.
• Run and manage weekly/monthly controls.
• Utilize exploration and data mining capabilities to support large-scale investigations and information requests.
• Manage the operational output of complex data investigations.
• Utilize internal & external data to undertake holistic reviews of high-risk customer segments, industries and financial crime typologies.
• Support the delivery of the next generation of analytics based monitoring capabilities through the development of statistical based detection models.
• On behalf of a global financial services organization, provide a data intelligence capability within the US to support strategic intelligence activities.
• Manage risk-related projects/initiatives to ensure deadlines and requirements are met.
• Conduct thematic trend analysis of internal risk events (SARS/Court Orders/Exits/Payment breaches).
• Provide data subject matter expertise on enterprise-wide investigations and regulatory requests.
• Undertake analytic based assessments to validate financial crimes compliance with key policies, controls and regulations.
• Work in conjunction with the FIU to support public/private partnership with external agencies such as the National Crime Agency, National Terrorist Financial Investigation Unit, and the Joint Money Laundering Task Force to support the Counter-Terrorism and Anti-Money Laundering agenda.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Mathematics, or foreign equivalent and two (2) years as a SAS Developer or related occupation.
Must have at least two (2) years of employment experience with each of the following required skills:

• Data quality testing to robustly identify, record and report issues within our data set and provide insight on problems and unreliability within the customer, products, transactional data.
• Conducting data analytics with a proven track record of accomplishment in transforming raw data into meaningful and actionable intelligence;
• Utilizing analytic tools for data exploration, analysis, and visualization within the Financial Services/Financial Crime industry;
• Working with Hadoop within HUE Impala, PySpark, and Anaconda; and
• Ability to comprehend and present valuable insight from complex data sets;
• Working with, and an understanding of UK domestic payments data and US domestic payments data, which provides a consolidated data approach when working on Global Investigations in response to large scale data leaks;
• Conducting data analysis & statistical modelling using industry standard tools (SQL/SAS/SPSS/Scala Spark/PySpark/Python/R);
