Survios currently has an opening for an Associate Sound Designer to contribute to our sound design efforts and push the quality and innovation in our games to the next level.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in improving game audio features and tool development.
• Assist in field recording, dialogue processing, music editing, sound library maintenance.
• Ability to perform basic testing, debugging and various optimization methods for game audio systems.
• Interface with other departments to find the best possible audio solutions to challenges.
• Develop and cultivate their sound design skills over time.
• Contribute to all aspects of sound design, including design, edit, mix and implement sound effects in line with the creative vision.

Requirements:

• Self-motivated, organized, and focused
• Ability to create a wide range of SFX, from realistic to abstract.
• General understanding of interactive music composition, music editing and mastering.
• Basic mixing, loudness measuring, and final audio polish skills.
• Experience in commonly available audio tools and software such as Reaper, Nuendo, Pro Tools, Sound Forge, etc.
• Effective communicator and collaborator with contributors from all disciplines
• 1+ years of relevant industry experience.

Pluses:

• Experience with Wwise and Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
• Experience working on IP-based titles.
• Experience recording and directing voice talent.
• Experience with UE5's MetaSounds.
• Experience with 3D spatialized audio and related formats, such as binaural and ambisonic.
• Experience with performance capture, VO recording, and localization pipelines.
• Proficiency in Reaper and Sound Forge.
• Experience with Wwise's interactive music tools.
• Experience with programming, scripting, or UE Blueprint.
• Experience with VR/AR development.
• Experience mixing in 5.1 and 7.1 surround for games and linear media.
• Bachelor's degree in either Music Technology, Audio Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
