We’re currently seeking a Associate Technician as a entry level or mid-level position within industry. This individual will provide assistance to the investigator's research by primarily conducting cell-based assays. We're looking for someone who has hands on experience with Cell culture and Tissue culture. If you have experaince with T-cells and Immunology that would be a bonus.
The applicant will be required to collaborate with other members of the research and development team to carry out essential experiments. Additionally, the associate will assist with general laboratory tasks and occasionally work with our in vivo colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficient in operating instruments such as Live-Cell Analysis, or their equivalents
- Maintain cell lines and perform various tasks related to cell culture
- Maintain accurate and meticulous records of all experiments in an electronic lab notebook
- Possess expertise in conducting immunology/cell biology experimental techniques, including in vitro cytotoxicity, qPCR assays, and FACS
- Take responsibility for general laboratory duties, including cleaning and maintenance, ordering/receiving supplies, data entry into spreadsheets, recording sample entries into liquid nitrogen storage, and managing the research database
- Provide support to investigators in both in vitro and in vivo studies
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of two 1 or preferably three 2-3 years of laboratory experience in a relevant field
- T-cell, Immunology experience (Desired)
- Comfortable and familiar with conducting preclinical research involving animals
- Strong hands on experaince with Cell Culture & Tissue Culture
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Life Sciences, such as biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, or immunology
- Proficient in the principles of cellular and molecular biology with a focus on immunology
- Have experience in culturing and maintaining cell lines
Skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate documentation, technical writing, and presentation skills
- Excellent collaboration skills to effectively work with other team members and achieve desired outcomes
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Capable of working independently with minimal guidance and possessing strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient in utilizing electronic/digital platforms like Electronic Lab Notebooks/LIMS, SharePoint, and MS Office
