What you will do :

The Associate Manager role has responsibility for supporting the day-to-day functions of the Transition Management team and certain related activities. This Associate will facilitate the onboarding of various account types including institutional single client accounts and various U.S. and non-U.S. commingled vehicles. This includes communicating with clients, facilitating internal account and investor set-up, maintaining certain client information as well as developing and communicating metrics on these activities with an emphasis on risk and control. The Associate Manager is responsible for the proper handling and oversight of the onboarding process, escalating issues to individual team leaders or senior management as needed and suggesting and/or facilitating solutions.

Role will be focused on clients in the North America, Japan, and Asia Pacific ex-Japan regions. The Associate Manager role will not have direct reports.

This is a hybrid role and will require working two days in our Newark, NJ office and three days remote.

What you can expect :

  • Support responses to client inquiries regarding client agreements and derivative regulatory status
  • Facilitate the handling of subscription & adoption agreements for fund investors
  • Ensure timely and accurate communications and status updates regarding client onboardings
  • Provide support with respect to changes in client status, name changes, transfers in kind and client terminations
  • Interact with institutional clients for the purpose of facilitating the onboarding process from start to finish
  • Maintain & share certain client information via IHS Markit or other approved platforms
  • Assess opportunities to improve operational efficiencies on an on-going basis
  • Support RFP inquiries related to client agreements and onboarding documentation
  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external partners and service providers
  • Support and/or lead projects and/or strategic initiatives
  • Support ad-hoc duties as assigned

What you will bring:

  • Knowledge of the asset management space, client types, various fixed income investment strategies, and fixed income markets
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years of investment management experience, with client onboarding preferred
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Proven ability to improve established processes
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication (oral and written), and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and cultivate strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Must be able to operate in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while still maintaining strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize issues appropriately
  • Must be team-oriented while being proactive and self-motivated to ensure deadlines are met

Note : Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $85,000 to $114,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
