Associate Manager, Logistics (Night Shift)

Tesla is looking for an experienced program and people manager to lead our logistics activities associated with large scale, fast paced Manufacturing activities in Fremont. This position will program manage logistics requirements to support Finished Vehicle Distribution at the Fremont factory. In addition to logistics execution, there are facilities and carrier management responsibilities. Candidate must have proven track record of successfully working cross-functionally with multiple departments related to manufacturing and retail.

• Drive development as well as implementation of needed processes and systems to enable improved integration of the Tesla’s worldwide logistics management structure.
• Manage logistics execution supporting finished vehicles. This includes:
• Identify ongoing operational process and staffing needs to support logistics operations.
• Identify existing systematic gaps and drive processes to close.
• Work with Internal stakeholders to optimize and meet requirements. Departments include sales, delivery, fleet, marketing, engineering.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
• Manage four teams’ day over day to ensure quality execution of on ground operations.
• Define and develop finished vehicle logistics solutions that optimize speed, cost, and quality
• Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics.
• Define strategies, suppliers,and flows

• Experience with MS Office Applications, including knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Tableau a plus.
• Strong organizational skill with the ability to manage both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or logistics or relevant experience and/or evidence of exceptional ability
• Strong critical thinking and resolution in ambiguous situations.
• Ability to write, speak and present effectively and persuasively at all levels.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in operations and / or supply chain related functions.
