Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Associate Level Product Review Engineer to become part of the F-18 Landing Gear Refurbishment Production team in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.


This position is for a mechanical or structural engineer to coordinate with Boeing St Louis Engineering in performing Liaison Engineering evaluations and dispositions. Boeing St Louis Engineering will be Prime on this contract so technical coordination will be required. This position is located on site in Fort Walton Beach with possible routine travel to suppliers at various locations, including international. Valid passport is required or must able to obtain.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Supports Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participates in stress engineering and strength reviews.
  • Supporting Landing gear refurbishment in accordance with military technical orders, standard repairs, and non-conformance dispositions.
  • Perform Liaison Engineering evaluations and dispositions for non-conformances both in house and at suppliers.
  • Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions.
  • Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for non-conformances.
  • Develops and implements product/process improvements.
  • Familiar with metallic properties, component finishes, hydraulic components operation and testing as well as repair practices.


This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.


100% onsite:


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Fort Walton Beach, FL).


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • Knowledge of aircraft mechanical component and repair procedures.
  • Valid passport is required or must able to obtain .
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering.
  • 1+ years’ experience with structural design principles for repair and maintenance (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques).


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • 1+ years’ experience with F-18 Landing Gear with Request for Technical Information, Material Review Board and Over and Above activities.
  • Possess Universal Product Review Certification.
  • Experience with CMPRO.
  • Previous or current Material Review Board Membership.


Typical Education & Experience:


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $73,950 - $100,500
