Job Description

Travel Market Report is seeking an experienced Associate Editor to join our growing editorial team. The position is 40 hours a week, writing and reporting about travel for one of the industry's leading travel trade publications. The position includes daily writing and reporting, along with regular travel both domestically and internationally.


Experience in the travel industry is not required but is preferred. Candidate should have experience writing and reporting for a daily or regular online or print publication. Some experience using email marketing software, social media publishing programs, basic video editing software, and virtual work software is also preferred, though not required.


The position is virtual, though those who can work in the Oyster Bay, NY office will have preference.


Responsibilities

  • Work 40 hours a week.
  • Regularly travel.
  • Write, edit, and publish daily news stories and features.


Qualifications

  • Comfortable using in-house CMS.
  • Ability to work 9 to 5 and to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week.
  • Experience writing and reporting for a news, travel, or lifestyle publication.
  • AP Style, English language
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Microsoft Word.


Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from $40,000 to $60,000. Healthcare and 401(k) options are available for all full-time employees.
