This is the job for you. Housing Facilities Operations is reliant on a strong leader who provides effective leadership to the custodial services, work control, warehouse and moving units that are responsible for work management, procurement, and the regular care and cleaning of approximately 2.1 million gross square feet of residence hall space with a budget of $2 million dollars on the Columbia campus of the University of South Carolina. They assist with managing the Operations unit and act as the Facilities Operations leader during the Director’s absence.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead Custodial Services, Work Control and Warehouse programs
2. Leadership support for Operations Maintenance and Safety
3. Coordinates equipment and material with a $2million budget
4. Oversees training, processes and procedures for operational processes

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree and 6 years related experience; bachelor’s degree and 8 years relevant experience in business, public administration or administrative services or equivalency.
Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Thorough knowledge of work management protocols, custodial services business and warehouse/moving operations, with emphasis in safety practices as it pertains to relevant areas of employment. Knowledge of business management practices, personnel management, planning, problem solving, and conflict resolution are essential. Computer literacy.
