Facilities Director
POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Director is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of Royalmont Academy’s buildings and grounds. This role reports to the Head of School.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Basic maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and groundskeeping knowledge
·Ability to cultivate and work in a positive team environment.
·Ability to work in an environment with children.
·Catholic Christian preferred.
Major Duties:
·This position ensures the maintenance of the building is being completed with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
·Scheduling and or executing all maintenance and cleaning in the building.
·Hands-on mechanical equipment maintenance skills, light electrical repair, and onsite plumbing repair.
·Professional will perform mechanical equipment startup and shut down, perform daily light janitorial work, and have weekly grounds responsibility.
·Position includes contractor management for fire inspections, building security, night cleaning, and other items as needed and discussed with the Head of School.
·Summer facility prep including, but not limited to, floor cleaning and resurfacing, repairs, and other classroom and office preparations.
·Must have the ability to perform all physical building needs, both interior and exterior (Lifting, carrying equipment and supplies to perform all tasks)
·Will act as the point of contact for our leased space handling all communication/on-site issues and coordinating all contracted repairs.
·Position requires some computerized control skills as well as an ability to communicate with the building staff, school faculty, and administration.
Lighter Duties (if needed) would include:
·Ordering of materials and supplies
·Managing contractor's work on repairs
·Running floor cleaning machine (if permitted)
·Changing of paper towel dispensers and toilet paper dispensers
·Managing cleaning company work
·Answering maintenance emails and requests- arranging for handling as appropriate
·Overseeing trash detail
·Other random jobs that do not include heavy lifting
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: This position will report to the Head of School.
