About the Team
The Office of the CEO is a small, close-knit team that operates at the center of College Board, helping leads College Board’s daily execution, strategic direction and guide its culture. The eight-member team includes our CEO, President, and Chief of Staff; we collaborate daily with colleagues across the 1,600-person organization. We work with urgency, integrity, and a focus on high-quality output. About the Opportunity
As our Associate Director of CEO Initiatives, you’re part of the engine that makes our office – and the organization – operate. In this role, you will:
Provide operational and project support for the Office of the CEO (40%)
  • Work with leaders and colleagues across divisions to support organizational priorities
  • Monitor divisional budget and lead financial sponsorship and contribution process
  • Collaborate on projects to drive clarity, candor, speed, and pride across the organization
  • In partnership with Executive Assistant, provide technology and operations support for Office of the CEO
  • Support daily operations for Office of the CEO and Deputy Chief of Staff, including contributing to daily priorities and executing on key work
  • In partnership with the Deputy Chief of Staff, shape and execute staff engagement strategy for CEO
Support design and implementation of org-wide internal communications strategy (40%)
  • Bring creative ideas to projects that energize our culture and support other teams’ campaigns
  • Manage technology-based systems that enhance our analytical capabilities to bring evidence and data to internal communication efforts
  • Help to design and execute quarterly Town Halls, providing analytics and recommendations to continuously improve sessions
  • In partnership with Deputy Chief of Staff, review and help draft large-scale internal communications, and maintain editorial calendar of large-scale communications
  • Provide production and technology support to Town Halls and other org-wide inflection points
  • Co-manage College Board Cares program which empowers colleagues to support and serve the causes they are passionate about
Contribute to special projects (20%)
  • Collaborate with Senior Director, Presidential Initiatives with planning and executing virtual and in-person leadership convenings, with a special focus on analytics
  • Contribute to logistics, planning and creative support for ongoing, org-wide projects, including our staff-wide retreat, Pencils Down

About You
You have:
  • An interest and track record for bringing data and analytics to informal decision and action.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills
  • Comfort with both working independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and project management skills. You have a track record for keeping multiple projects on track at once and helping others do the same
  • An ability to work with deliberate urgency on a fast-paced and high output team
  • The ability to write and community with brevity, clarity and excellence
  • A hunger for feedback and sharpening your craft
  • A passion for supporting people and leaders do their best work
  • Experience working with data, data visualization and analytical systems, such as Tableau, Alchemer, or Adobe
  • Ability to travel 2-3 times per quarter
  • An interest in learning, growing and hitting the ground running
  • Superb people skills, warmth, and care

  • We reward performance through annual bonuses and provide opportunities for salary growth over time through base compensation increases, merit raises and promotions.
  • We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact. The salary range for a new employee in this position is $60,000 to $105,000. The salary offer of an individual candidate within this range is specific to their location and qualifications.
