Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Mainframe Network Systems Programmer for a Host Network Support position.
This role functions in a global team providing services to a client with multi-protocol complex environments. The selected candidate will interact frequently with clients, vendors, and management to ensure high level of satisfaction.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex problems on z/OS host networks
- Compliance and Security, ensure mainframe network environment complies with security rules agreed by Kyndryl and client
- Acting as a resource and point of escalation for global team members
- Supporting project management with implementation of network software upgrades, including testing and implementation with network service provider, application teams, and internal support teams
- Can act in a leadership role for the global team on global projects and participate on teams that impact the host network
- Performing level 3 problem solving and troubleshooting
- Providing planning and recommendations for changes on hardware and software components for the z/OS network Utilizing z/OS Communications
- Server and other products perform configuration and customization of IBM and ISV mainframe network software
- Disaster Recovery, planning and execution of tests, including client access to DR systems during production network service
If this is a sales role, you may be eligible for additional incentive compensation opportunities. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for Kyndryl’s Growth Driven Profit-Sharing plan.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Provide 3rd level support for file transmission and batch authorization protocol configurations so that transmissions through client's systems conform to the client-specified application layer, system layer, and network layer requirements, and that message formats are consistent
- SME with extensive experience supporting various MF transmission protocols include CD/XCOM, SNA, VTAM, and TCP/IP
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Strong understanding of client environment to support project migrations, software uplifts, as well as maintain file transmission profiles, configurations, and inventories
