Job Description

As a member of the Digital Content & Campaigns (DC&C) Team, the Associate Director (US)/Senior Manager (CH), Editorial & Content Planning is responsible for supporting paid and organic editorial planning across all corporate global, Switzerland, and US social media channels. Partners and closely collaborates with key members and teams across Communications & Engagement, including the C&E Editorial Board and Channel Management Teams.
This position can be based out of our East Hanover, NJ or Cambridge, MA sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintains relevant systems and tools (AirTable) to ensure campaign planning information is updated and relevant
  • Develops, implements, and ensures compliance to social media channel strategy
  • Leads, and ensures adherence to, the corporate social media content calendar
  • Sets editorial planning process for corporate social media channels
  • Ensure campaigns running on corporate global Novartis social media channels are aligned to the C&E Editorial Board
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensure consistency of Novartis brand position across editorial and content planning
  • Coordinate across teams and key business stakeholders to drive efficiency and alignment
  • Serves as a trusted digital media advisor to C&E senior leaders across the function and key business stakeholders
  • Supports C&E Editorial Board planning and activities

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $130,400 and $195,600 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to this role:
Deep knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,YouTube)
  • Experience delivering and executing engaging campaigns across social mediaplatforms
  • Experience leading campaigns/initiatives with audience-led precision
  • Track record of driving adoption of new ideas and concepts, and developing novel campaign strategy and tactical approaches
  • Track record of crisis response strategy and tactics across social media channels
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices
  • Proven track record of driving engagement of priority audiences
  • Advanced decision-making skills with proven ability to drive direction and alignment within a team and in collaboration with outside teams
