THE ROLE
We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director who lives and breathes creative ideas to join Allergan Aesthetics’ in-house creative agency. In this role, you will be delivering strategic and compelling advertising for our high-profile beauty brand, JUVÉDERM®, across social content, websites, broadcast video, and more.
You are a true creative thinker who can bring passion, leadership, inspiration, and creative ideas to the team. You’ll be the advocate for better creative, by pushing campaign ideas about how JUVÉDERM communicates across platforms.
Not only do you have a strong eye for art direction/design/typography, but also you’re armed with data-driven insights and you thrive at being both highly strategic and conceptual. Working in partnership with brand stakeholders, you will help lead the development of fully integrated campaigns, be the creative driving force on photography and video shoots, oversee and direct post-production work, and supervise a team of copywriters, art directors, and graphic designers.
On any given day, this is how you’ll spend your time:
- Strategizing Across Channels: You like to be on the cutting edge of trends, especially for social media
- Ideating with Clear Goals: articulating the “why” behind design choices to the goals in the brief and selling through ideas to brand partners
- Maintaining Regulatory Compliance: proofreading and checking our creative because our products cross beauty and medical, with support from our team on being meticulous about the regulatory details
- Disrupting the Norm: crafting and implementing stellar creative campaigns that grab the attention of consumers, as well as our practitioner customers
- Championing Better Creative: advocating for better creative, pushing design standards, and ensuring a consistent, on-brand, and cohesive voice for JUVÉDERM®
- Managing Partnerships: working with agencies and vendors to help define the creative output per project, and bringing a broad knowledge of creative techniques, processes, responses and styles to each relationship
- Public speaking: comfortable creating and giving presentations to influence creative decisions and clearly articulate goals with brand partners
- Collaborating with Fellow Creatives: being part of a tight-knit, collaborative group of creatives and makers who partner with brand teams to visually craft our story
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Brand: building a brand story with an understanding of the differences across various campaign touchpoints
- Data Analytics: leveraging consumer and cultural insights and data to inspire creative
- Video: passionate and experienced in storytelling on short video platforms
- Best-in-Class Storytelling: 5+ years of experience creatively developing, producing, and delivering creative campaigns as a central role in an advertising agency, or an in-house creative group, with an impressive portfolio filled with smart, innovative work that includes social content, interactive and video concepts
- Omni-channel Delivery: an understanding of all paid, earned, shared, and owned channels
- Beauty/Medical: experience in beauty and/or medical categories
- Media: work on successful campaigns across multiple media touchpoints, especially in social
