Job Summary
Location: Chicago, IL - Monday & Friday (Remote) Tuesday-Thursday (In office)

The Associate Counsel is responsible for managing liquor licensing efforts and for overseeing and managing contracting for Levy’s outside vendors. The Corporate Counsel directly reports to the General Counsel.
Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing compliance with subpoenas and information requests.
- Independently handling legal matters or projects.
- Ensuring compliance with Levy policies, including overseeing contracting compliance for Levy’s outside vendors.
- Identifying and assessing legal risks and opportunities within areas or responsibility and educating clients and business partners accordingly.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Managing liquor licensing efforts for the Company.
- Drafting and advising on all types of contracts, including but not limited to contracts related to all outside vendors, including temporary service agencies, non-for profit organizations, subcontractors, and licensees, as well as other commercial contracting issues.
- Recognizing when the advice of more senior counsel or outside counsel is appropriate.
- Advocating company’s interests in assigned matters.
- Serving as an indispensable partner to location management.
- Ensuring adherence to time-sensitive deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong background in commercial contracts.
- 1+ years of legal experience at law firm or in-house position.
- J.D. from an accredited law school, including active bar membership.
- Outstanding critical reasoning and analytical skills, punctuated with common sense.
- Demonstrated superior collaboration and relationship building skills.
