This position is a remote opportunity, so we are considering all candidates in the US. Candidates must live in the US and have current authorization to work in the US to be considered.
Travel: Limited; maximum 1 week per month by discussion.
SUMMARY
Clinical Supply Chain Associate will be responsible for execution of clinical supply chain activities to support on-going and future clinical trials. This role is as a full-time embedded clinical supply chain Associate at a major not-for-profit dedicated to reducing the burden of disease and illness in Low to Middle Income Countries.
The Clinical Supply Chain Associate will be involved in all aspects of manufacturing supply chain including supply planning, inventory management, and shipping / logistics. The Clinical Supply Chain Associate will lead and contribute to many cross-functional projects involving Clinical Supply, and Clinical Operations, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality and Formulation. This role will allow the person to be an active contributor in a growing department and not only execute tasks but assist in building systems and business processes for the future including supplier relationship management and continuous improvement for ERP / production planning. In addition, the Clinical Supply Chain Associate has opportunity to support global clinical supply chains supporting the execution of clinical trials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Client Responsibilities
- Support shipment logistics of GMP materials (bulk drug substance, final drug product) from both internal and external sites.
- Monitoring inventory levels and work with suppliers to provide forecasting, lead time updates and delivery of materials to internal and external storage locations.
- Contribute to the implementation of supply chain systems / solutions to inventory mgmt., shipment tracking, and material release, including continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate with CMC, CDMOs, Clinical Trial Team, QA, and Regulatory to support timely distribution and receipt of material at CDMOs and clinical trial sites.
- Support manufacturing of clinical material through the planning and execution of clinical supply packaging and labeling operations..
Additional LBG Responsibilities
Identify and support new engagements for LBG by supporting:
- The identification and selling of engagements for LBG.
- The planning, tracking and follow-up on sales and marketing activities in pursuit of engagement opportunities.
- The drafting and editing of proposals and engagement documents for LBG clients.
- The update of business development activities appropriately within the tool designated by LBG.
Create LBG Intellectual Property by:
- Supporting the creation and delivery of publications and presentations that support and build on the LBG’s reputation and recognition in its target markets.
- Supporting the creation of internal tools, systems, methods, and materials that help LBG perform more efficiently and with higher quality results.
Support the growth of the company by:
- Supporting the management and overhead activities of LBG as agreed on an annual basis with management. Activities might include but not be limited to the LBG Recruiting, Staff Training, Development and Mentoring, Staff Reviews, Engagement Economics, Internal Quality Standards, and the Development and Teaching of methods for services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Project management and comfort using MS Project or Smartsheet is a plus.
- At least four (4) years of biotechnology / pharmaceutical experience with two (2) of those years directly engaged in clinical supply chain management are required.
- Small/mid-size biotech experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- BS/BA degree in related discipline is required.
- Experience in CMC is a plus
- Demonstrated experience working with inventory management, forecasting, and planning is preferred.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and GMP/GCP regulations is a plus.
