The Opportunity

This position is a remote opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As an Associate Clinical Research III, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and monitoring of internal and external clinical studies of limited scope. Participate in the development of operating procedures. Develop study protocols for executing experiments, evaluation and documentation of results. Participate in the development of standard procedures in executing experiments, evaluation and documentation of results. Follows standard and complex procedures in executing studies, evaluation and documentation of results. This is a Field based opportunity.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinates and provides reporting information for reports submitted to the regulatory agencies.
  • Participates in adverse event reporting and safety responsibilities monitoring.
  • Contributes to implementation of clinical protocols and facilitates completion of final reports.
  • May participate in adverse event reporting and safety responsibilities monitoring.
  • Responsible for directing human clinical trials, phases III & IV for company products under development.
  • Coordinates and oversees investigator initiations and group studies.
  • Assists the study start-up group with recruiting of clinical investigators and negotiation of study design and costs.
  • As the Specialist in the Medical Affairs Sub-Function, considered as highly experienced and knowledgeable resource within the organization in overseeing the planning and execution of ADC clinical trials/research and data collection activities.
  • Monitors adherence to protocols and determines study completion.
  • May act as consultant/liaison with other corporations when working under licensing agreements.

Experience You'll Bring

Required

  • In lieu of an associate degree, a minimum of eight years of experience in conducting clinical research or laboratory experience in biology or related field is required Experience in clinical studies involving medical devices is desirable.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in conducting clinical studies or related laboratory skills with an Associate degree or 4 years of experience in conducting clinical studies or related laboratory skills with a Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing medical devices is desirable.
