Clausen Miller P.C. is seeking a qualified Litigation Associate Attorney for its growing first party property, professional liability and general casualty defense practice. Texas license is required. Competitive salary and benefits package provided. The position is fully remote with hybrid office options in Houston and Dallas. Desired Qualifications


  • 3-7 years of defense litigation experience preferred;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work independently.
  • Good standing active member of the State Bar of Texas;


Responsibilities


With the supervision of a partner, the candidate for this position will handle the legal process from investigation to trial. Tasks include but are not limited to the following:


  • Preparing for and attending hearings, mediations, arbitrations, pretrial proceedings and trial; and
  • Preparing post-trial motions and appeals, if required.
  • Responding to and preparing motions and engaging in motion practice;
  • Preparing legal analysis memorandums, briefing and reports;
  • Advising on status of case, arbitrations and proceedings;
  • Responding to and preparing discovery;
  • Conducting and defending depositions;
  • Regular communications with the client, building and establishing relationships;
  • Appearing before the Court;
