The Intercollegiate Athletics Department at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for an Associate Athletic Director for Events and Facilities vacancy.
Reporting to the Deputy Athletic Director for Championship Experience, the Associate Athletic Director for Events and Facilities will oversee, direct, and supervise all aspects of the management and operations of home athletic contests and athletics facilities. The position will directly supervise staff, determine staff functions, establish/develop operating policies and procedures, manage budgets, and assign resources. The position will develop and implement policies and objectives related to athletics events and facilities. This individual will serve as an advisor to the athletics administration regarding applicable programs, management, and operations of the units with supervision and policy-making responsibility. In addition, this position will serve as a member of the Athletic Department Leadership Team, manage game contracts, act as a liaison to campus, university units, and external stakeholders regarding events and operations, and serve as a sport administrator. The Associate Athletic Director for Events and Facilities will also be responsible for supervision (including performance evaluation and discipline), training, hiring, and firing of staff for facilities and event management. Must comply with University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in athletic events and/or athletic facilities management to include the supervision of personnel.
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate through oral, written, and electronic forms
• Possess the intellect, insights, influence, and managerial skills to operate and oversee the events and facilities division of Intercollegiate Athletics.
