Job Description

SALARY RANGE: $31.25-$38.46

The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for providing management at the subdivision level; overseeing all construction, expenditures and job reporting for that subdivision as it pertains to the construction of residential dwellings from drywall texture complete to finish. Assists the Project Superintendent as required. The Assistant Superintendent position is available in the following locations: Rocklin, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, and Sacramento.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Maintains their inventory in conditions presentable to our buyers and within the acceptable standards of the company
  • Manages all relationships with the company’s customers to obtain a professional and successful relationship
  • Manages the ability to obtain certificate of occupancies within the local jurisdiction
  • Maintains their subdivision(s) in a condition acceptable to the company, to include the construction office trailer inside and around the outside
  • Safeguards the job site from hazardous situations and materials
  • Analyzes and understands the manufacturers recommendations of the use and application of their products and is able to manage the use of the product
  • Analyzes and understands local and national building codes and is able to perform within those stated standards
  • Expedites emergency repairs in average of ten (10) working days with none exceeding twenty-five (25) working days
  • Issues PO’s as needed
  • Trains the subcontractors to have a thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures of the company
  • Performs quality control inspections on all production homes beyond texture complete stage on a daily basis
  • Performs light “hands on work” as needed
  • Oversees and schedules all construction related activities on a given project or multiple projects for residential housing
  • Expedites homeowner orientation letter in an average of fifteen (15) working from work appointment with none exceeding fifty (50) working days from work appointment
  • Approves billing for contract work related to supervised trades
  • Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints to reproduce the desired results the company has designed
  • Manages and controls all direct and indirect construction expenditures for their project(s)
  • Reproduces the model homes built and approved by the company each and every time one of the models are constructed unless instructed otherwise
  • Manages the construction of a quality home within the standards set by the General Superintendent and the company
  • Delivers houses within desired time frames set by the company and the General Superintendent
  • Secures the company's property and protects it from theft, vandalism and damage
  • Thoroughly understands construction activities relating to the building of residential dwellings and how those activities are managed to produce a complete home
