Job Description
The Normal Brand is a fast-growing apparel company that sells clothing and accessories online and in over 500 stores in the US. Our third retail brick-and-mortar store in Kansas City located on the Plaza is hiring and we want a hard working, personable, goal-oriented Assistant Store Manager. The store is an experience where a clean, enjoyable, and fun environment is of utmost importance.
Responsibilities:
  • Embrace an environment that is respectful in communication
  • “Our goal is to make peoples’ day better, sell clothes, and have FUN!”
  • Educate and train team on product knowledge
  • Monitor inventory and replenish sales floor as needed
  • Mentor and develop team through clear communication
  • Maintain a clean store and merchandise to Normal standards
  • Encourage suggestive selling to maximize revenue
  • Create, and maintain relationships with our guests
  • Support Store Manager on any aspect of the business
  • Responsible for securing store
  • Implement high customer service standards throughout the store and team
  • Gives constructive feedback on product sell through to Store Manager
  • Inspire, develop and lead team to drive an excellent customer experience and revenue
Requirements
  • Flexible availability, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Self-starter
  • 38-40 hours to maintain full time status
  • Strong retail business acumen
  • Experience working with and/or managing inventory
  • Inventory integrity
  • Superior organization and time management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft word, Excel and Google Drive
  • People person - approachable, friendly
  • Team player, has fun, and takes ownership
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes
  • Eager to learn through feedback and solve problems in a fast paced environment
  • Independent, Goal oriented, Data driven, Competitive, and positive energy
  • 1-2 years retail apparel experience
