Assistant Store Manager Jobs

Sandri Energy is now hiring an Assistant Manager for our Rockingham, VT convenience store. We are a family-owned small chain of convenience stores, with 18 locations throughout Western Mass, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Sandri takes pride in providing safe stores that keep our customers (and their cars) fueled up and on the go.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Store Manager include:

• Answering customer questions
• Verifying customer ID for age restricted sales
• Working assigned register shifts
• Assisting with deposits and shift paperwork, including verifying cash drawer counts and lottery audits
• Scanning purchases and taking customer payments
• Making change accurately
• Stocking shelves and coolers
• Assisting the Store Manager with ordering and inventory
• Being a keyholder for opening or closing the store
• Store maintenance such as dusting, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping, wiping down counters and gas pumps, making sure sidewalks are clear and putting down salt, trash and recycling
• Assisting the Store Manager with supervision and training of staff
• Checking in orders

Our ideal Assistant Manager candidate will have the following skills and traits:

• Reliable attendance
• Committed to keeping the store clean, stocked, and safe
• At least one year prior retail experience
• Attention to customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Committed to ensuring that alcohol and tobacco can only be purchased by those over 21 with valid ID
• Excellent cash handling skills
