We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will be required to report to the US Projects Director in planning, bidding, coordinating, executing, and monitoring the fit outs and developments of the Group Developments Capital works projects – with a heavy involvement on new builds, refurbishments and fit-outs across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Ohio, and Colorado.

The role is needed in growing the department within Applegreen, that will spend $500m over the coming years on strategic capital projects. As such, the successful candidate will bring their own initiative to deliver the department’s vision – all aligned with the wider Applegreen Vision and Core Values. The successful candidate will require a strong construction management background. The role is ideal for someone seeking to scale the organization and grow their influence on the overall business.

To undertake the above a suitable candidate needs to be highly organized, proficient at excel and MS office tools (Outlook, Excel OneDrive, Teams), BIM360 & Procore.

The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional efficiency, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be a strong communicator and prove they have the ability to be a deliver with their own initiative within the Developments Team that must deliver the regional projects at pace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage preconstruction, coordination and execution of various projects across the aforementioned states.

· Manage daily project management activities for multiple projects through all levels of store development including design, budgeting, procurement, permits, construction and restaurant turn-over.

· Review drawings, specifications and quantities for construction purposes

· Liaise with consultants, directors, contractors engaged in the project as necessary

· Monitor the work of contractors on site

· Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise

· Fully interact with other members of the construction site team

· Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.

· Manage changes to the project whilst maintaining a project Risk Register.

· Budget and cost reporting to the Project Director

The Candidate should possess the following:

· BS/BEng in Engineering or Construction Management

· 3+ years of experience in a similar role

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office – notably Excel and Project

· Experience in managing multiple projects at one time.

· Experience working in procurement or with a GC (General Contractor)

· Experience in a commercial retail/restaurant/hospitality environment is preferred

· Excellent communication skills – including in interactions with Project Director and GC’s

· Excellent Organization skills and a strong ability to work at a strategic level

· A keen eye for trade coordination

· A strong team-player mindset- you work collaboratively across many teams

· A positive attitude with an open mind to working outside of their comfort zone.

· Has sound judgement and objective logical decision-making skills.

· Willing to travel to sites as required and be flexible with work hours to meet the needs of this role.
