The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing support in the day-to-day operation of custodial services. In the absence of the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager is the liaison between Didlake Corporate office, its customers, and staff. This position may be considered essential personnel with the ability to respond to work in a timely manner as determined by contract needs.

  • Models dependability, hard work, strong ethics, and professional appearance.
  • Gives feedback to nurture a positive environment and quality performance.
  • Responsible for subcontractor follow-up to ensure work is completed.
  • Assures safety of employees by monitoring proper use of equipment and adherence to health and safety policies.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Consistently monitors chemical usage and inventory
  • Oversees efficiency and quality control indicators to ensure contract requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Prepares and submits data, reports, summaries, etc. as may be required by Didlake, COR, or other staff.
  • Coordinates with Contract Officer Representative (COR) and other appropriate staff to address concerns and proposed solutions.
  • Confers with the Project Manager to direct and coordinate activities of the designated contract to ensure that goals or objectives of the contract are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budget parameters.
  • Develops and maintains a relationship with all contractors and vendors guaranteeing efficient operations.
  • Good steward of government funding and facilities of the complex.
  • Complete essential duties/functions as detailed in your site's contract.
  • Reviews and implements health and safety procedures to meet federal and company standards; assists in the activities of the safety committee by providing technical and administrative support.
  • Manages supervisors, evaluates workers' performance, and makes recommendations to Human Resources on personnel actions.
  • As Essential Personnel, report to work in a timely manner as determined by contract needs regardless of an inclement weather event.
  • Identifies staff development opportunities and assigns training.
  • Utilizes training opportunities to expand professional and technical knowledge.
  • Communicates regularly with the Project Manager and the COR to provide status reports.
  • Cultivates an atmosphere that promotes Human Rights for all individuals with disabilities and ensures training, incident reporting, and awareness of responsibilities of all personnel regarding Human Rights.
  • Provides leadership to staff by fostering teamwork.

Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Knowledge of federal contracts, budgets, safety, and health regulations is a plus.
  • Recent experience as a supervisor.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact, train, and resolve the personnel issues of maintenance staff with disabilities.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees with disabilities.
  • Must possess the ability to pass a security clearance background check.
