This job is not remote or virtual.** Assistant Project Manager - Construction About Us Sage Homes has developed from a homegrown construction division of Sage Ventures, LLC, building a handful of homes a year, into one of the top 10 builders in the state of Maryland. As our business grows, so does our team. Come help us build great communities. Responsibilities Assist with negotiations, scopes of work, change orders, submittals and RFIs. Help manage construction drawings, specifications, and related documents. Take a leadership role in the QA/QC process, material expediting and tracking. Build strong client/owner relationships and support business development efforts. Assist with permit processing, estimating, and code compliance. Plan Takeoffs Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management/related field. 5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience with new construction projects. General understanding of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans. Experience working in environments with multiple stakeholders. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with construction technology, construction management and project management software (Estimating/Take Off software – On Screen or equivalent) Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements: This is a position which requires the Assistant Project Manager to walk, stand, and climb stairs in/around construction sites, apartment homes, models and properties. Must maintain professional appearance and be able to work in a construction environment in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet), around hazardous chemicals, dust, dirt, and other particulates. Must also have the ability to operate an automobile, read large quantities of information, operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry up to 100 lbs. independently. Finger dexterity is necessary.
