Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center seeks to hire tenure-track or tenured faculty in a variety of areas, including but not limited to faculty who have expertise in the following areas: administrative law, artificial intelligence and cyber security, business law including contracts as well as upper level business electives, environmental law, constitutional law, criminal law, criminal procedure, civil procedure, evidence, family law, legislation, professional responsibility, food and agriculture and legal writing.
Assistant Professor/Associate Professor /Professor
:
Teach Law courses as determined by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
Maintain an active research agenda with regular publications, present research at conferences and professional meetings.
Mentor Law students in research.
Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities commensurate with rank.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school (foreign equivalencies will also be considered), superior academic credentials and legal scholarship, as well as a commitment to outstanding teaching.
Applicants will be considered to begin on the tenure track at the level of Assistant Professor, or at the level of Associate Professor without tenure, or may be considered for tenure, depending on the applicant’s years of experience teaching in graduate legal education, quality and quantity of scholarly publications, and overall academic and professional record.
