Job Description

Position Summary:

The opportunity to help the rowing program at Duke University contend for ACC Championship with day to day office, travel and team operations while effectively serving the Department of Athletics and assist the Head Rowing Coach by performing roles and responsibilities that will help effectively manage the day-to-day operations of a Division I rowing program in accordance with NCAA, ACC Conference and Duke University policies and procedures.


Candidate will must possess the necessary knowledge and experience of office administrative tasks. Primary responsibilities include but not limited to: coordinate team travel, managing program’s calendar and written communication, camps/clinics and organizing special events. This is a part time paid position.

  • Knowledge of NCAA rules
  • The scope of this position requires weekend, evening and possible holiday hours
  • Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage young women.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills needed
  • Thrive in fast paced environment, possess a keen attention to details, and ability to multi-task

Minimum Qualifications


Education

Work requires a knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles to perform routine clerical/office support duties normally acquired through a high school education.


Experience
