Job Description

Overview

The Manager I manages professionals and/or leaders and is accountable for the performance and results of the team. Decisions are guided by policies, resources and business plan. The Leadership impact is the level of service and the team's ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness of objectives. Network Engineering & Operations: Responsible for network design, planning, installation, and support for distributed computing. Translates business objectives into cohesive network recommendations and solutions. Establishes technical standards, and ensures appropriate interface capabilities with other networks and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct Tier I and II network operations teams in maintaining continuous network monitoring and connectivity and all specified service levels for all data, voice, video, and wireless services delivered across the WAN/LANs to all customer locations
  • Coordinate with the network engineering team on network upgrades/ enhancements and escalated incidents
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to ensure the highest service levels while managing the delivery and operational integrity of data center deployments, ensuring reliability and minimum downtime
  • Manage network monitoring tools, alerts, and escalation processes and procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing personnel and information technology resources
  • Advanced knowledge of networking tools such as Solarwinds, LogicMonitor, Splunk, or other third party tools
  • Advanced knowledge of automated systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Service Life Cycle
  • Advanced analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results or relationships
  • Experience in management of technology operations
  • Experience in leading, guiding and coaching professional staff
  • Experience with development or operations framework methodologies, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), etc.
  • Experience in resource allocation and management
  • Effective in producing desired results and achieving goals and objectives
  • Experience in developing and managing business analyses
  • Effective skill relationship building, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices
  • Have strong leadership and project management skills, highly motivated, have the ability to prioritize work and perform well in a high volume environment
  • Advanced research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical background
  • Knowledge and understanding of budgeting
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of NFCU operations, processes and procedures
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
