: Navajo Preparatory School Food Service Assistant Manager
Navajo Preparatory School is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Food Service Assistant Manager to work in our busy and dynamic Food Service Department. The primary role of the Assistant Manager is to assist the Food Service Director in overseeing the daily operations of the school's food service program. The successful candidate must be passionate about providing excellent customer service and ensuring that students and staff have access to healthy, nutritious meals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Food Service Director in planning and supervising the food service program, including the preparation and serving of meals
- Ensure that all food service operations comply with school policies, local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines
- Manage the inventory, ordering, and scheduling of food service supplies
- Maintain accurate records of food service-related activities
- Provide training and support to food service staff members to ensure they follow safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with food production, service, and clean-up activities
- Establish positive working relationships with all stakeholders, including students, staff, and parents
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in food service, preferably in a school setting
- Valid Food Handler's Certification
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
