Salary: $71,926.00 - $94,265.00 Annually
- Stays abreast of the County Contract ordinance and the business legal environment.
- The Assistant Director of Contracts, leads and directs the Contracts staff.
- Performs the duties of the Procurement & Contracts Director and assumes responsibility for the Department when the Director is unavailable.
- Conduct audits on all contracts within the County.
- Reviews, analyzes, and monitors all contract administration productivity and reports.
- Reviews and approves all contracts.
- Procures information technology goods and services for entire County.
- Reviews and tracks all expiring contracts and those up for renewal ensuring timely solicitation or renewals.
- Two (2) years or more successful experience in leading staff.
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of procurement & contracts as well as strong analytical, writing and communication skills.
- Six (6) years or more of progressively responsible experience in purchasing, preferably in the public sector.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field preferred.
- Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
