Your Role
The Assistant Designer is responsible for assisting with the creation of commercially viable product designs across collections. They coordinate and deliver brand-right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy; encompassing style, color/print, fit and fabric for new/existing product lines.

Your Impact
- Communicate ongoing development details to internal partners (i.e. Production, Tech, Merchants) and vendors, ensuring all communication is flowing to the correct people
- Achieve set goals with acute attention-to-detail, tracking progress & anticipating potential issues
- Develop and understand the VS eye/brand identity and specific category
- Track and organize development samples, ensuring they are delivered within required timelines and seamlessly passed off to key parties
- Adapt designs based on feedback, incorporating for finalization
- Partner with technical design on fit and execution of prototypes, assisting with scheduled fittings and necessary follow-up
- Create flat sketches and CAD images
- Pursue/embrace opportunities to personally grow and develop skills/competencies
- Communicate point of view clearly through mood boards and concept tears
- Build and maintain effective relations with key partners
- Deliver design sketches/prototypes and provide clear specifications for construction
- Assist the design team in the creation of brand-right, commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction/business strategy
- Build and maintain the sample room
- Apply processes to understand/anticipate the needs of the customer in order to exceed customer expectations and readily react to their needs
- Attend routine team meetings and key partner alignment sessions
- Utilize resources in sourcing new ideas, both internally and externally, and stay up to date on competitor research/trend analysis
- Seek to improve process in order to deliver efficiently with speed/agility
- Prepare design team for routine and milestone meetings, including the coordination of line presentation boards/tableaus and selection of product samples
Maximum Salary: $75,600.00
VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.

- Microsoft Office, Illustrator/Photoshop proficiency

Additional Preferred Experience
- Flex PLM a plus
- Entry level with some design experience in a comparable retail environment
