The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean for Admissions and Strategic Enrollment (exceptionally qualified individuals may be considered for Associate Dean status). The Assistant Dean for Admissions and Strategic Enrollment serves as the academic and administrative leader of medical student admissions for the College of Medicine and Life Sciences.
The Assistant Dean for Admissions and Strategic Enrollment (~0.5-1 FTE negotiable) reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Admissions and works alongside other staff and Assistant Deans in the Office of Admissions to provide dynamic, principled leadership to COMLS admissions including developing evidence-based innovative processes and procedures; collaboration with institutional, regional, and national colleagues; and engaging communities to promote programs in the COMLS.
The Assistant Dean will be responsible for managing and overseeing operations of the Office of Admissions including processes associated with recruitment, selection, and interviewing applicants in compliance with Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) standards. The Assistant Dean will work with the Sr. Associate Dean to develop strategic initiatives for staffing, performance reviews, and all policies and procedures.
Lastly, the Assistant Dean will work toward the seamless transition of accepted MD applicants into the program through collaboration with staff in the Office of the Registrar and Office of Student Affairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required for these positions are an MD/DO or PhD. Knowledge of the MD curriculum is desired but not required. This position requires dedicated time spent in the Office of Admissions and serving as Chair of the Admissions Committee.
