Assistant Controller

Full-time | Accounting & Finance | Location – Olathe, KS, 66022

We are seeking an Assistant-Controller who has a passion for doing excellent work and providing great service. The position will report to the Corporate Controller and will direct and assist with various financial reporting processes for multiple companies

Your Role And Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries
• Month-end close
• Develop excellent working relationships with colleagues from all areas of the company
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities
• Oversee and assist in preparing annual external audit schedules
• Oversee and assist in monthly financial statements and supplemental reports
• Mentoring and overseeing direct reports
• Financial statement analysis and research

How To Succeed

• 4+ years relevant accounting experience, international experience and public accounting experience a plus
• Strong GAAP experience/knowledge
• Spanish and/or Portuguese speaking a plus
• Oracle ERP experience a plus
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• CPA candidates preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to occasionally travel internationally, travel is less than 10%
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting
